Prep Wins in Exhibition Game vs. O’Connell

Your @GeorgetownPrep hockey team opened exhibition play with a 3-2 win over O’Connell. Patrick Fitzgerald picked up the first goal of the game and season at the 6:15 mark in the first period. O’Connel tied things up with 8:54 left in the second. The score remained tied until the 6:43 left in the third on a goal by senior, Cameron Bass, assisted by linemates Patrick Fitizgerald and James Flannery. O’Connell followed up with a tying goal almost immediately.

The highlight of the game began with 3:47 left in the game when the Little Hoyas were forced into a 3 on 5 penalty kill. After some great goal tending by junior Elon Grantson and gritty play by Prep’s penalty killers, the team got back to even with 1:47 left in the game. Patrick Fitzgerald put the game away with his second goal of the game off a pin point assist from junior Peter Roach with 1:05 left in the game.
