In front of a raucous Prep student section at Cabin John, Prep picked up a come from behind win in what turned out to be a chippy and highly penalized game. Immediately the Hoyas started behind as just twelve seconds into the game Mt. St. Joes scored on their first shot of the evening and dominated most of the first period. The Hoyas were able to gain some traction on a power play with a goal by Matt Prame. Just over two minutes later the Hoyas would score again on a power play goal by Pat Fitzgerald assisted by Nolan Urgo and Daniel Cole giving Prep a 2-1 lead at the end of the first. After a scoreless second period the Hoyas offense came out looking to blow the game open tallying a quick strike on a goal by Peter Roche assisted by Connor McMahon. Barely two minutes later the Hoyas scored with a goal by Matthew Scola assisted by Rocco Nascone. Not to be outdone, Mt. St. Joes scored right off the ensuing faceoff to cut the lead to 2 before the Hoyas were able to put the game away with an empty net goal by Matthew Scola assisted by Daniel Cole. Prep is 3-0 on the season (2-0 in conference) and look to extend the streak against Calvert Hall on Wednesday in Rockville. Hoya Saxa!
