The Hoyas were back from Christmas vacation as they made the long trek up to Calvert Hall for a MAPHL League Game. The Hoyas went into the game with confidence against a familiar opponent as they defeated this team in the Purple Puck tournament 4-2 over the break. Unfortunately, the Hoyas were not as lucky this time and fell 5-2 at the hands of a strong Calvert Hall. The boys were down 2-0 before they were able to find the back of the net with a goal by James Flannery assisted by Tom Olson. The Hoyas offense was unable to build momentum off the goal and struggled to get shots on net for a majority of the game. The boys found themselves in a 5-1 deficit before they could strike again late in the 3rd with a power play goal by James Flannery. The Hoyas will be back in action Wednesday in Rockville at 5:50 against Churchill with a primetime match up against Landon looming large on Friday in Rockville. Trust the process…Hoya Saxa
